Mechanical Systems Company LLC is a fully licensed Mechanical and Plumbing contractor in Memphis, TN. We focus on working with commercial and industrial customers, providing quality workmanship and the absolute best value for the price.

We are currently looking for an experienced Safety Director who will be working in partnership with our senior management and across the trades/departments in our organization (field, shop & office) as we plan and perform every task for safe delivery.

Position Summary: Create/revise policies, procedures, education/training, and maintain regulatory compliance that upholds MSC's commitment to unparalleled safety in the workplace every day. Engage with the field employees and spend 50% of the time on job sites attending or facilitating project safety briefings. Motivate and Inspire team members to put their safety and the safety of those around them first.

Compensation: Base wage $80,000 - $85,000 per annum with quarterly paid bonus incentive. Per annum base potential with incentive pay over $112k.

Work hours: 40+ hours per day, Monday to Friday, additional time when required

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have 5 to 7 years of progressive field and administrative experience in a Construction Environment
  • 5+ years of Manager/Supervisor experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety is required
  • Experience with incident investigation techniques
  • Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, DOL, and other federal, state, and local health and safety laws
  • Safety Management Systems experience
  • Certifications (CSP, ASP, CRSP, CHST, CUSA, or similar) preferred
  • OSHA 10 and 30 hours certified
  • Experience with statistical analysis of incident data
  • Creative and assertive - motivator of innovative ideas
